Astarium is the solo-outfit of Nikolay ‘SiN’ Sikeritsky, who also runs NitroAtmosfericum Records. I wrote several reviews in the past for Concreteweb about Astarium (as well as for NitroAtmosfericum Records), and as you can see (enter the band’s name in ‘search’ or go to ‘reviews sorted by artist’), I deeply like the refreshing approach of this act.
In case you want some additional information about this solo-outfit of NitroAtmosphericum’s label owner SiN, I’d like to refer to the reviews I did for Wyrm Of Melancholy and Atenvx, on November 11th 2014 and December 1st 2014 respectively.
Since I already wrote about the history and discography of this project in the reviews I recently did for the (re) release of Wyrm Of Melancholy (see update November 11th 2014) or Atenvx (updated on December 1st 2014), I will refer to them. I will go immediately to the review of the aural part for this mini-album, which was recorded once again by SiN at the SH Studio (from December 2013 till February 2014).
On November 11th 2014, Concreteweb put the review for Astarium’s Wyrm Of Melancholy online. It was kindly send to us by Metallic Media, which did send us this album, Atenvx, as well.
I will not ignore or deny this: I’ve always been a ‘fan’ of Astarium. I am not going to deepen this project’s history this time, because this review does not deal with a new release. But, since I am such a sweet human entity, and because Metallic Media, a fabulous label we recently started to collaborate with, did send us this album too (of course I did buy it when it came out two years ago, since I am a ‘rich’ [hèhè] collector of skulls, I mean, of albums), I have the politeness once again to write some words about it.
