I have to admit that I did not know any of both projects involved with this split, but I wonder: did you? Actually, this split, with two US-based bands, will see the light via upcoming Magic Bullet Records, evidently via the digital channel, as well as on both black and white vinyl.

One track, The Moaner (1:47), is created by Richmond, Virginia-based Bleach Everything, with former or current members of e.g. Jesuit, Iron Reagan and Suppression. It deals with the living nightmare of living close to a serial killer (I think). It’s a frantic track, little schizophrenic, and combining Punk, Hardcore, Funk (!), Metal and Rock(abilly). I am aware that this is quite a vague description, but so it is… Less than two minutes of bloody-sadistic joy… The other track, called Mood Swinger (3:21), is done by Vors, an outfit of Ides Of Gemini’s J. Bennett. It’s completely different from Bleach Everything’s part, and I think it wouldn’t have been misplaced on the soundtrack of the first The Crow-movie. It has nothing to do, at all, with Metal or Rock whatsoever, but it’s based on haunting, eerie keyboard lines, programmed percussion, and Cold Wave-inspired vocals. I always like to experience outside-the-box-thinking-oriented creativity – no, I do not ‘always’ like that – but this is, once again, such experiment that deserves some attention. Okay, five minutes in totality isn’t truly something that catches, but it’s was, once again, a joyful pleasure etc…
