It its early days (and we have no idea when those started) this Italian “Grunge” Rock act went under the name of Anaemyha, with which they eventually recorded a cover of the Witness track “Piss Off” for the compilation/ tribute album We Were Born To Destroy – A Tribute To Witness (regretfully, I have found no data on that album, so I'm afraid I am uncertain as to where to place it in time). And, back then, the band's sound was completely drenched in the Seattle Grunge sound of the '90s

If I understand any (written) Italian at all, the band was founded by guitarist Savious (real name Salvatore Gaudino) and drummer/ lead singer Dayan El Zweig (Daniele Zitiello), whom have had some trouble finding the right members to complete the band's live line-up, and have therefore seen their band through different changes. During their career, the guys have played many shows, sometimes at festivals, and occasionally with more internationally important people. One of the band's more recent memorable shows (which was with the line-up which recorded this mini-album – my personal criteria for the difference between a mini-album and an EP, is in the amount of different songs, and the total length of the recording, with the basic rule: more than 4 songs/ tracks with an excess of 18 minutes of playing time, means a mini-album) was as support to Vince Carpentieri (guitarist of Almagretta). As time passed by, the founding members also absorbed additional influences (including U2, Led Zeppelin, and more), eventually (at least so it is mentioned in the bio sheet we got along with the promo copy of the album) finding the missing elements for their own original music in Napels' popular and traditional music.

Whatever they mean with that (“...This last discovery became a fundamental tool for melodie and arrangements and, merged with years of American culture influences, created the ultimate feature in Delibra's sound...”), the outcome is a very nice Alternative Hard Rock with both Grungy and more sensitive balances (the latter taking a high on this mini-album's calmer instrumental closing track “6:00 AM Mirror View”. The singer sounds incredibly good for an Italian dude, in fact one would swear this guy never talked Italian in his life, and was actually raised somewhere along the US's West Coast! The mini-CD holds 6 tracks with varying (Hard) Rock feel and sensitivities, which is really nice to the (h)ear, and which the label places as recommendable to people who are into the music of the likes of Kings Of Leon, Pearl Jam, Radiohead, Jeff Buckley, and Silverchair. At (www.) facebook.com/delibra.friendpage, you'll find a full-length version of the mini-album's song “Spellbound” posed, as well as the non-album Steroephonics cover “Maybe Tomorrow” (same songs are also found at the band's ReverbNation and SoundCloud pages, si it's no use looking any further). Not being able to log onto MySpace at the moment (because they did an update, which hasn't happened yet for the network PC I use for my fact-finding needs), I neglected to see whether the band has a page there, so maybe you should check that out, eh?

Anyway, end conclusion : a very nice multi-influenced Alternative Rock band with a varied musical offering, of which I certainly wanna hear more!
