Cryo Chamber Records are a label based in Oregon, ‘focusing on high quality Dark Ambient with a cinematic edge’. The label was started by Simon Heath, the human entity behind projects such as mighty Za Frûmi, Sabled Sun, Abnocto and others, but especially known from Atrium Carceri. ProtoU are quite a young project from Ukraine, led by Sasha Cats. Only recently she entered the realms of the Drone / Ambient / field recordings scene; before Sasha was known as violinist and choir singer especially.
The name of Simon Heath might ring a bell to many Industrial-fans, for this is the guy behind top-act Atrium Carceri. I also recollect his name from mighty Za Frûmi, and he’s involved with projects such as Sabled Sun, Abnocto or Knaprika too, if I’m not mistaken. Besides, Simon runs the Cryo Chamber label, which sort of came to the foreground after the painful, sad surcease of Cold Meat Industry.
