When I tell you I saw this band play live at the first Heavy Sound Festival in Bruges way back in 1983, that probably tells you something about my age. Being one of the first Belgian metal bands to gain some name outside of our little country, it was with great interest I started listening to this album, their first new official release since 1987!
Evil Invader’s music is built upon the structures of 80s speed/thrash and fans of bands like Savage Grace, Agent Steel, Razor, Exciter and Jaguar will want to give this one a spin.. The disc spins off with “Victim of sacrifice” a pounding riff-monster played in 80's nwobhm/thrash tradition, rolling on gripping repetition leads and a double-bass drummed drive. If you like this track, you’ll surely also love the rest of the album.
What a surprise, this second opus of Helgian horde Evil Shepherd (named after the old novel by E. Ph. Oppenheim?)!
