If you'll believe most info sources, Beverly Killz is a Milano (Italy) based Glam Rock/ Metal act which was founded in April 2007 by members of the bands Jasmine Gun and Mr. Jackfrost. But, while that is not far from the truth, reality is slightly different.

You see, what actually happened, is that singer Vince [whom had previously been active with Dies Irae (a band in a hybrid style of Angra and Helloween which produced two demos), a couple of tribute bands (Mr. Big, Iron Maiden) and even some Pop Rock acts before joining Rome based Glam Rock band Bang Bang] had moved from Sicily to Milano in 2006, where got together with guitarists Max and John (whom had already been playing together before in two other bands, dating back to 2003-2004) and the recently “free” bassist Andre to form Jasmine Gun with an un-named drummer. Although the latter has been active for 18 years, he only played in two bands prior, namely the Punk/ Alternative Rock geared Kebra, and the aforementioned Mr. Jackfrost, which split in 2006. Then, when drummer Fabio [whose curriculum vitae includes the Melodic/ Commercial Rock act Ghost City Rockers, the band Rainmakers (which evolved from a Classic Metal to an old style Hard Rock) and eventually the Pop Rocking Amusia (which got to releasing a full-length album)] joined the four others, the bandname was changed to the current one.

Playing near to 80 shows throughout Italy within its first two years of existence, the band garnered some attention from some people in the North-Italian music business scene and, although their self-released  debut EP Straight From The Underground (released in December 2009) was a very simple affair recording-wize, it nevertheless was mixed and mastered by renowned producer Alessandro Del Vecchio (best known of being a member of the successful Italian band Edge Of Forever , his curriculum of previous bands and collaborations is actually too long to put on this page, so check out (www.) myspace.com/alessandrodelvecchio if you feel inclined to get more info), which gave the end result a sound and quality which got the EP enthusiast reviews from magazines and webzines from all over the world.

While keeping up their gigging spree, the band recorded its full-length debut during 2011 at Monza based Frequenze Studio (Monza being a northern suburb of Milano), and this time had the material mixed in Germany by Dennis Ward (whom has already done the same for a number of music industry-important bands before, such as Angra, House Of Lords and Krokus, to name but a few). The end result, finished in early 2012, swiftly caught the attention of Perris Records, who release the album during the Summer of last year. The highly enjoyable disc with 10 original tracks and a cover of Haddaway's early '90s hit song “What Is Love”, are somewhat of a touch away from Perris's usual Glam Rock/ Metal acts, and therefore comes recommended to fans of the likes of Guns 'N' Roses, Skid Row, Aerosmith and AC/DC. Now, I'm not sure why the latter is brought into the equation, but at any rate what you get here is a somewhat Glam-ed Melodic Hard Rock with Metal fringes, and the constantly great lead guitar and harmonic backing vocals are guaranteed to get anyone in the audience singing along. The lead singer, by the way, has a rather clean and relatively high pitch, which he luckily does not abuse to often (you know, by trying to give it too rough an edge, or taking up high notes he might not be able to use -  mind you, there's a couple of times I really wonder what octave he suddenly slides into).
