Jello Biafra & the Guantanamo School of Medicine is a punk rock band led by (yes you guessed it) Jello Biafra. The band actually came into life when Iggy Pop had his 60th birthday party. And Jello liked what he saw and started planning his own birthday party and started a punk rock band.

And after a few months of rehearsing and so their first album entitled The Audacity Of Hype was released in 2009. And slowly but steady the ball started rolling. And now once again Jello hits us with a new album entitled White People And The Damage Done.

Well I have my doubts about this record. At its core it is a true punk album with its anti-society lyrics and yes they have their charms but the overall sound of the record fails a bit in my opinion. It sounds like how people recorded their album 20 years ago and yes i must admit that this has a certain nostalgic feeling to it. But to keep up with younger and fresher bands you really have to do a lot these days.
