Originally known as Dungeon, the band began in the arid desert of the Australian Outback, home of Mad Max- The Road Warrior, and hundreds of kilometers away from the nearest major city. This isolation proved to be no obstacle, however, and the band recorded a demo that received glowing reviews in music magazines across the country.

After relocating to Sydney, Dungeon went on to take the Australian heavy music scene with national tour supports with bands such as Megadeth, Nightwish, Opeth and Destruction. By 2005 the band had released nine albums and a dvd. It was in that year there was a shift in the line- up, the name Dungeon was dropped, and the new moniker of Lord was adopted.  This was originally the name of a side project that frontman L.T. had created.

Lord has released two EP’s and four full length albums until now. This year the band will release “Digital Lies”. All of the familiar hallmarks of the style began with Dungeon. Think about an eclectic mix of traditional metal, thrash, melodic rock, progressive power metal. But this time with an undertone of a dark technology vibe running throughout the album.

Fans of Edguy should check this album out. Normally I’m not into this kind of power metal music but this album is actually very great!
