The four members of this band combined their collective experience in 2011 to form Motherload. Immediately they received a favorable review from Malcolm Dome in Metal Hammer for their debut EP. 2012 saw persistent gigging, and appearance at Hard Rock Hell (some sort of festival), which ensured positive reviews in the rock and metal press.

Now, in 2013, this band is set to unleash their debut album ‘Black and Blue’ upon an audience of passionate rock fans.

The record can best be described as groove rock as you will notice Pantera like vibes and riffs. So yea the album has a very strong start. This is no nonsense rock. However I did lost my interest halfway the record. Not because it weren’t bad songs or anything, no the longer the record progressed, the more power of the songs diminished a bit.

But fair is fair, and if this is a debut album, these guys surely will get far, and I’m definitely interested in their future work.
