German band “The New Black” have been rocking the scene since 2009. Since then they have been making music that they themselves describe in a very fun way,

“...This is our kind of party: Black Label Society bring the booze, Pantera spice it up, Thin Lizzy add some taste, and Alter Bridge smooth it over before Metallica turn it black... And you can be there, too”.

Fun… but not 100%correct. Sure, you can recognize a bit of Black Label Society sound. And you will without a doubt find elements of Alter Bridge, but I absolutely can’t find any Pantera or Metallica on this rock album. It’s more of a Nickelback kind of record if you want something to compare it to. So you either like it or not, but they are actually good at it. Through nailing live support slots with the likes of AC/DC,
Volbeat, Alter Bridge and Black Label Society. And so the band is good for already their third album.

To be honest, it didn’t convince me. It’s not a bad rock album, but it lacks the strength to convince me. It gave me the feeling that it are just recycled riffs they glued together.
