To say it’s almost a miracle this record was ever released, is not far from the truth.Youngblood signed a deal with Sony/Epic Entertainment in 1989.  They spent 9 months, recording 45 tracks, 16 of which were chosen to figure on their debut album.  But due to the musical climate changing, the record went on the shelf, and eventually, the band itself broke up.

Now, more than 20 years later, Eonian Records have finally released this album.  Had this been released when hard rock/hair metal was at its peak, this would have attracted major sales.  However, twenty years have passed since, and while this surely is a hidden gem, I doubt it will attract much interest, except from real fans of the genre.

Mind you, this is a great album.  My only remark is that at 16 songs it’s a bit long, they could easily have brought their mission in 10 or 12 songs.  Being a hard rock fan since the early eighties, I’m sure this is a record I’d have bought back then, had it been released.
