To say this album contains some of the best Dio songs would be an understatement. ‘Stand Up And Shout’, ‘Don’t Talk To Strangers’, ‘Holy Diver’ to name but a few of his own songs. Besides those there are also Black Sabbath covers, like ‘The Mob Rules’, ‘Children Of The Sea’, and finally also a Rainbow cover ‘Man On The Silver Mountain’. This is, of course, no more than logical, since Ronnie has been the frontman in all of those bands.
As mentioned in the review of the double CD version of this event (for details also check there), it's always more gratifying to séé how musicians feed off each other during performance, and the DVD perfectly showcases the individual sparks that went across the stage during the performance! Things one would miss out on when just listening to the CD's, include the fact that Tony was playing on a 7-string guitar, the frantic playing style Billy frequently displays, and the way Mike plays on the audience from behind his drum kit.
The story behind this interstellar collaboration? Sure!

I mean, are we to believe this is a new release, just because the label made the trouble of changing the copyright date at the back of the CD and/or DVD package, when really both this live CD and DVD were actually released in 2009, and except for changing the copyright year at the back, nothing has been changed! No extra tracks, no bonus features, no altered artwork...no nothing!? Well, I ain't quite sure about the story in the booklet, really!
