In more than two decades of existence (including a period of inactivity, for your information), New Risen Throne have never disappointed undersigned (I indeed), even-though I guess the releases from the last decade are far more convincing than the earlier ones (but then again, it isn’t but a personal opinion, of course). It’s the outfit of Italian musician Gabriele Panci, who writes, composes, records and performs all material himself, often with guest assistance by other (notorious) Ritual / Dark Ambient colleagues from all over our decaying globe.

I do not think I have to introduce this project anymore. It’s the main sonic outfit by Italian Raffaele Pezzella, who runs some labels too within the scenes of Dark Ambient / Electroacoustics / Drone / Space Industrial / Dark Drone / Experimental / Electronic, you know. There’s a duo from Pennsylvanian soil that intrigues me for quite some time: DD and MZ. These two entities are active under several monikers, such as Sun Wound, Infestation Ritual, Teeth Engraved With The Names Of The Dead, Desolation Swarm, Six Billion Light-Years and several more. I know that what follows right now is a purely personal, and therefor subjective, statement, but: I do adore about all of these outfits.
