Belphegor

Belphegor is a black death metal band from Austria. Belphegor was originally named “Betrayer” in 1991 by vocalist and bassist Maxx, guitarists Helmuth and Sigurd, and drummer Chris. The band released their first demo Kruzifixion in April 1991, and Unborn Blood later on.

After a few more releases and line up changes, we were able to hear their latest record entitled “Conjuring The Dead”, which was released at the beginning of this month. Well I have to say that I was surprised in a good way and a bad way…. First i was disappointed in the opening track witch sounded like a rehashed song from an earlier album. But after listening to a few more songs the record made sense and lived up to its name.
