To say it took a few listens before Har Nevo opened up would be the understatement of the year. I still have to be in a particular mood to really enjoy the music fully, This is The Black Heart Rebellion latest and they have created an album of the type that doesn't come along very often.

The Black Heart Rebellion is one of those bands that you back away from very carefully, fearing that they may explode at any moment, and judging by this quartet's latest batch of tunes, that's a genuine concern. Evoking the sheer power of bands like Neurosis, Amen Ra, My Education, Isis, Swans,…The Black Heart Rebellion is a twisted tribal band that simply can't be defined. Their albums offer an apocalyptic musical universe and in that bleak setting each lives and breathes a life/death of its own. This is a band that doesn't make it easy for themselves or for the impatient listener. By never taking an obvious route when creating a song they always put the listener on the edge and listening to their music I never ever feel that I have heard all it has to offer. Truly a special band.

Unconditionally recommended to those seeking something unique.
