People into French Psychedelica will need no further introduction about this band, in which singer/ guitarist/ songwriter Gregory Raimu brings the highest notes, and those needing it anyway are welcome to check out the reviews I made for his GR & Full Blown Expansion album (posted 03/01/2010) and his (third) solo album A Reverse Age (posted 30/05/ 2013).

Massacre-Rock Deviant Inquisitors (which consists of two tracks on a 12-inch, one-sided white vinyl album) constitutes the third release by his band Gunslingers, which further consists of bassist Matthieu Canaguier and drummer Antoine Hadjioannou. Stylistically, the band has in the past been type-casted as “Fuzz-Punk”, or as “a deviation on The Stooges”...and actually that's a rather fitting description, taking in account that Raumu doés have a very specific vocal delivery, which may be somewhat awkward to people into more melodic styles of singing. To shorten a long story, this is music for the fans of heavier late '60s/ early '70s styled Psychedelica and...would you know...is right up my alley!

One problem with the release, is that it will be issued on a 500 copy rotation only, and will be distributed by Raimu's own Les Disques Blasphamatoires Du Paladin and UK's Riot Season with each label getting 225 copies (the remaining being used for promotional and personal ends). But...just in case you're not capable of getting yourself a copy of this outrageously great album (oh, by the way, although it only sports 2 tracks, it nevertheless contains almost 17 minutes of music), here's some positive news: ou can listen to the release on Bandcamp (find the link at (www.) riotseason.com)!

Love this to dead/ death (?)...so let's catapult the release into our year-lists, shall we!?
