Harmony  is a Swedish metal band, that was formed in 2000 by Markus Sigfridsson.  They recorded a demo in 2001, and recorded their first album ‘Dreaming Awake’ in 2002, which was released via Massacre Records in 2003.  Their second album ‘Chapter II : Aftermath’ was released on Ulterium Records in 2008. This is their third album, and the second one released via Ulterium Records.

On their previous album Daniel Heiman (Lost Horizon, Heed) already performed a duet, and since their original vocalist Hendrik Bath wanted to put more work into Darkwater, it was almost an obvious choice to ask Daniel as vocalist for this new album, and a choice that has surely delivered. In pure Swedish tradition the music on this album is excellent from start to finish.  Great songs, good musicians, a good production.

What you get here is melodic power metal, but with a prog feel, or should that be melodic prog metal with a power touch to it ?  Never mind, this music is good.  This is an album that would equally be enjoyed by Kamelot or Dream Theater fans, but also Stratovarius fans might well give this a try. An album that will rank high in my 2015 ‘best albums’ list.
