Finally a power metal album which is worthy of the term Power metal, US power metal from Detroit that is. So that means high pitched yet powerful vocals, (no DRAGONFORCE / BLIND GUARDIAN/ HELLOWEEN crap) ferocious guitar riffs and leads assisted by a tight rhythm section. Musically the band settle themselves somewhere between the mighty JUDAS PRIEST “final warning, LETHAL ( remember “programmed” anyone? But especially early VICIOUS RUMOURS comes to mind, a track like “hypnotised“would fit perfect on VR’s “welcome to the ball album”. To summarize ICHABOD KRANE IS CLASSIC US heavy metal the way it ought to be. Pity that app this is a project and not an actual band… I believe the power metal scene urgently needs a kicking in the butt you see…
