Now that they have found their way to Relapse Records, Inter Arma’s unique music will be available to a much larger crowd. From black to doom to post and to sludge metal Sky Burial is comprised of  innovative, inventive and incredible crushing metal The band's versatility shines through on every track and the band is able to pull each song off without sounding like any. I was totally captivated by this band from the beginning. These guys can mangle your intestines just as easily as they mangle genres. The cool thing about this Richmond, USA band is that it doesn't fall into any particular niche, which is damn refreshing. To compare them to other bands is not easy, but just listening to some of the 10 minute songs “The survival fires”  “The long road home” and the title track we have elements of Leviathan, Nachtmystium, Neurosis, Kylesa, Baroness, Ancestors, ect…pushing through.. From start to finish, the overall atmosphere and feel of the album is there: dark, angry and electrifying.

Together with the impressive cover artwork by Orion Landau, this is top quality heavy post sludge black metal from a label that keeps on releasing great extreme metal stuff.
