British prog. rockers IQ  have been around…… always  it seems to me,  and their 10THfull length album ”the road of bones“   does seem to indicate that they might be around  for a long time still to come seen the quality of the 5 tracks on offer.  IQ are one of those bands who manage to get away with a close to 20 minute long song without boring the shit out of the listener halfway through, and that on it’s own is an achievements which I dare say, I’ve not experienced yet with to many of the progbands around who score much higher on the popularity scale (dare I say Dream theater ??? ) . The reason herefore is simple, IQ write songs and use their instruments foremost to support the songs, IQ are not a bunch of “ look how many notes I can play in 20 seconds types of musicians but simply  do whatever a song requires. Proggies but also AOR fans  out there won’t feel let down if they purchase “ the road of bones
