Founders of the death metal scene in the beginning of the 1990's, Jungle Rot from the USA just released their eight full-length through Victory Records, called Terror Regime. Terror Regime sounds like it takes you through a cruel horror movie as if it's a roller coaster ride through a butcher's house. The quality songwriting of Jungle Rot proves to be the key to the death metal lock once again. Every song stands on its own and is a real banger. Song titles such as I Am Hatred and I Don't Need Society leave no doubt and prove that Jungle Rot doesn't want to be liked by anyone or anything. They follow their own path, even two decades later.
Even thrash metal fans could be pleased with Terror Regime after having listened to the track Ruthless Omnipotence. At times, it makes me think of German thrash masters Destruction.
Fans of Cannibal Corpse probably don't need to be introduced any more to the guys in Jungle Rot, but with the release of Terror Regime and the re-release of Skin The Living, 2013 will be the year of Jungle Rot. Hide your kids, hide your wives, because Jungle Rot is out to get you!
