This band from the South-West of the U.S. certainly does not need any introduction anymore, I guess. Let’s keep it with: more than two decades of activities, countless releases (amongst which several ‘cult’ recordings), numerous line-up changes (only founding member and vocalist Tomas Stench remains), and now we’ll welcome Tortura, the band’s latest effort, done on vinyl via Nuclear War Now! Productions (a cassette edition did see the unlight too in mean time).

The four-tracker was recorded and mixed during early summer 2014 at Imperial Mind Engineering by Irving Lopez, and the total running time clocks fourteen minutes. It brings, well, actually the stuff we’re used to, being morbid and thrashing old styled Black / Death Metal in the vein of, let’s say, Impiety, Conqueror, Blasphemy, Profanatica, Black Witchery and Bathory. It does not bring anything new (do you care? I do not either), but the band remains focusing on the essence of their raison d’être, which is displeasing humanity the sonic way. Once again they succeed!

Oh yes, no one else but Mister Chris Reifert appears on the last composition, Batalla De Pecados; all together: thank you Chris!
