Punchline was, or rather is, a well hidden treasure, consisting of Thomas Franke (ex U.D.O.) and Jôrg Juraschek (Warrant) who over a lengthy period of time concocted these 11 songs (+ intro). As third band member Matthias Zimmer (Perzonal War) on guitars was integrated into the band.

Expect no German heavy metal however. This music goes more into the direction of Green Day.  Which means it’s rather commercial There are also hints of AC/DC in Punchline’s music, and even some traces of a band like The Police.

It’s a bit curious that three guys from Germany come forward with an album like this, music you’d rather expect from an American outfit.  There’s nothing original in their music, yet it’s highly entertaining, and well performed.  It even has a commercial feeling/sound to it, and my guess is had this been released in the nineties is might have had success, if promoted enough.
