In the mid- nineties Rykers, were no doubt together with a handful of other bands the leaders of the European hardcore pack.   They were well seen guests at a many festivals and at  clubshows. Live  shows never were dull  and the band was a force to reckon with.….  Rykers released four full lengths between 94 and calling it a day in 2000. Today they are back with “Hard to the core”  And it must be said, not a lost has changed in the 14 years between the last full length and this one, Rykers still sound blunt and direct, stylish reminiscent of a lot of NYHC Bands with Madball probably being the best reference if one is needed. As in the past the album was produced by Andy Claassen, which means it ‘s hard, powerfull and direct. Lyrically  the band still finds it inspiration in the mess of today’world and how they view today’s scene..  If you were into Rykers in the past there is no reason why you would not be picking up this album,  those who’ve not been introduced to Rykers yet, suggest you check it,, or even better try to catch them at a show first...
