With a review for the re-issue (through Bad Omen) of this band's 2013 debut album Wild Beyond Belief having been posted but very recently (27/04/2014), I don't feel inclined to repeat Satan's Satyrs's history all over again, so I'll direct you to that posting for your inquisitive demands, okay?

The new album finds a somewhat different sounding band, which is in the first instance due to the leaving away of the Noise factor which typified WBB, for an overall cleaner Stoner and Doom sound. The album opening instrumental track, “Thumper's Theme”, even has a very prominent organ included in the music (it returns in “Curse Of The Corpse”, “Black Souls”, and the 12-minute album closing title track...but in a diminished capacity in the first two cases). Another way the sound changed, is due to Claytanas using his voice in a different register and way! Indeed, he's dropped the shouting attitude and went for a cleaner and slightly higher tonality. The question is, will you like what's presented when you hear it? Because the voice used is somewhat weird, you know, but one might also say, is that it sets the band apart as a unique entity within the scene!

As per before, I suggest you check out (http://) satanssatyrs.bandcamp.com in order to get acquainted with this band (if that hadn't already happened), or to compare the band's earlier material with what's on offer on the new album! For those interested in making their acquaintance with bands through the live circuit, let it be known that Satan's Satyrs will only be playing a handful of European shows this Summer, these including performances at Germany's Hell's Pleasure Metalfest (in Possneck, on July 18 & 19), Sweden's Getaway Rock (Gävle, August 8), and Norway's Beyond the Gates (Bergen, August 29). If you cannot be there, but like what you hear on BandCamp, then by all means consider getting a copy of the album which, if I ai't mistaken, is also available on vinyl!
