Although this Vevey based Swiss band was founded only in 2013, at least some of its separate members have been active in their home country's music scene for quite a while, even been in well-known bands...dixit the info sheet we got along with the download promo of this 6-track EP.

You check for yourselves whether the following names mean anything to you: singer Vincent Huhter, guitarists Grégoire Parchet and Samuel Duarte, bassist Pierre Carroz, and drummer Fabien Vodoz. Stylistically, the guys call themselves a Progressive Metal act, but for sure with cited influences from the likes of Architects, The Dillinger Escape Plan, Killswitch Engage, Periphery, Every Time I Die, Structures, and Detones, the guys definitely incorporate several elements from other genres, including Hardcore and Mathcore!

In fact, the singer (ànd the occasional backing singer) completely goes Core, and except for the second song ,”Salt Ice And Fire”, which is overall 'slower' and even has a rather calm intro (some 90 seconds, actually) one might say that the guys go for full throttle all the way...something in which the drummer has quite a hand! Which doesn't mean that the guitarists don't get to hold back some from times to times, but in those moments eier the singer or the drummer keep up the overall aggressive tonality of things. The individual members' expertise sure works off in the end result, which is a perfectly finished product! I truly cannot say it otherwise, and all I can do is refer you to the band's page at (www.) tenacity-music.com, where you'll fin links to the album's pages on iTunes and Amazon (allowing you to at least listen to 30-second samples of all songs), its page on Spotify (where you can listen to it in its entirety – I never worked out how that works, though...mostly due to lack of time). There's also a music player there, but my browser wasn't supported (I still work from an out-dated network PC to do all my research, you know!), and in the same way I could not get onto whatever's posted in the 'music' section at (www.) facebook.com/ScarsDivide!

Nevertheless, a band well worth checking out, especially if you're into high-energy Progressive Metal things!
