A few years ago, Finland was the very first country who sent a metal band to the Eurovision Song Contest and won. That band was Lordi. Known for their catchy hard rock songs and monster costumes, they shocked the music industry throughout Europe and beyond. Another band from Finland which will definitely do the same is Snow White's Poison Bite.
Featuring Dr. Gruesome And The Gruesome Gory Horror Show is their debut record, released through the Victory Records label. The record starts off with an intro of nearly five minutes, but you still can't decide at that point what way the record will go. It's from the second song on, which is the title track, that it's quite clear that the guys mainly play punk rock, with a dark side to it, as if it's not played on Huntington Beach, but Huntington Graveyard. The horror aspect is often referred to on the record. Song titles such as Will You Meet Me In The Graveyard and Count Dracula Kid speak for themselves.
But then, when you think you know what way the songs are going, they create the heaviest breakdowns as if it's a hardcore band. All this happens with the biggest sense of perfection, which makes Snow White's Poison Bite an outstanding band, having created a sound of its own.
A nice detail is that The Misfits' very own, Michale Graves, does some guest vocals on the semi-ballad Zombie Romance.

Snow White's Poison Bite's Featuring Dr. Gruesome And The Gruesome Gory Horror Show could be the perfect soundtrack for next Halloween. Fans of My Chemical Romance and The Misfits should definitely give this creeper a listen.
