Hum...hardly any info available on the Internet about this...Dudley based (or, as stated in the info sheet we got along with the promo download of this here 5-track EP, from the “heart of the industrial wastelands of the black country...”) “Acid-Punk Noise act, so I'll have to glue the bits together from what I've found, eh?

According to the band's facebook page (www.) facebook.com/tomorrowcomethewolves, the band was founded in 2008 and, taking musical influences from the likes of Black Flag, Dead Kennedys, The Ruts, Swans, P.I.L., Sonic Youth, New Model Army, Off!, Oxbow and Tom Waits [non-musical influences including “...Friedrich Nietzsche, beat novels, psychedelic drugs and David Lynch...” (sic)] the band soon worked up a reputation for its unpredictable and high-energy shows (in fact, they were even included as a subject in a documentary entitled No Pain, No Gain – regrettably, I have no idea whether that documentary was ever aired nor, if indeed it happened, by which TV station). In a line-up comprising singer Joseph JoeHill, guitarist “BearWilliams, bassist Matt TonkaTonks and drummer Ryan Wakelam, the band recorded an 11-track full-length demo (with producer Carl Waters engineering), which they released on April 1st 2011. That the thing was no joke at all soon divulged itself, as the band simply sold-out two runs of the demo...after which they decided to let fans have the opportunity to download it for free from the album's Bandcamp page (http://) tomorrowcomethewolves.bandcamp.com. Review for the demo made comparisons for the band to the likes of such diverse artists as Swans, Oxbow, Dead Kennedys, Sonic Youth (those already mentioned by the band as influences, you know), as well as GG Allin and Trap Them.

Since then, the band's apparently gone through a minor line-up change, one “Luke” taking up position behind the drum kit. The guys now have this 5-track EP (actually 4 songs and an intro) on offer and...well, you gotta hear it to believe it! If you thought that “Hardcore Punk” was was a clear-cut categorisable type of music, then you'll have to re-work your box-thinking all over again after having heard this foursome led by the top-of-his head scream-shouter Joe! By the way, thanks a million to Tom Brumpton (of tbrumptonpr) for putting us onnto this truly great band!

Uhm...what's left for me to say? No music off the new EP available at either the band's facebook or BandCamp page when I last looked (about a week ago)! Oops, wait  second, you can stream the band's single, “Torn Thin”, at (http://) soundcloud.com/tom-brumpton-pt/tomorrow-comes-the-wolves! Check the band out, and follow my lead by nominating the EP into your 2013 year-lists!
