If Tony Mills, a fantastic rock vocalist, hadn’t been resurrected after his heart attack in a Norwegian airport, we would have never had this album.  But he made a narrow escape, and now hits us with this fantastic album. Who in the hard rock/metal worldt hasn’t heard of this guy.  He played with countless bands, such as Siam, China Blue, Serpentine, and was vocalist for Norwegian band TNT between 2006 and 2014.

Being born in Solihull in the UK in 1962, he started singing at 14, and first became known when he joined Shy in 1983, with whom he released 4 albums. Now to the essence of this review, the album itself.  As I told you it’s a fantastic album, showing what a long and rich career this man has had up to now.  You hear hints from different musical era’s, as well as from different genres.  There are songs on this album that could have been written/played by Queensrÿche – even his voice sounds similar to that of Geoff Tate.

For this album, his fourth solo-album if I’m not mistaken, he was aided by some other very talented musicians, like Paul Sabu or Tobert Sall (W.E.T.) and the phantastic production was done by Neil Kernon whom you might know from his work for Dokken, Queensrÿche or Nevermore. Mind you, it’s not an easy album, because it’s rather dark and melancholic, but put that aside and give this a couple spins and you’ll agree with me that it is a phenomenally good album.
