Tuomas Holopainen”, yes the founder, songwriter and keyboard player of the Finish metal band Nightwish. Born in Kitee (Sweden) on 25 December 1976, Christmas day. Starting his first solo project. This is something else than the metal we used to be hear from him.

The album “The Life And Times Of Scrooge” is based on a graphic novel written and illustrated by Keno Don Hugo Rosa. An American comic book writer and illustrator and well known from  the stories of Scrooge McDuck, Donald Duck and other Disney characters. Scrooge Duck is a cartoon character created in 1947 by Carl Barks. This 12-chapter book tells the life of Scrooge, from his early years in the 19th century Scotland to his adventures all around the world until the 1950s. The cd contains an immense depth, detail and sphere of the original story. A whole year to make and produce this album, a hussar work. Even the guest musicians are great: The London Orchestra, The Metro Voices (choir from London) and four lead vocalists:  Alan Reid, Johanna Kurkela, Johanna Livanainen and Tony Kakko. Other guest appearances include Troy Donockley (uilleann pipes, low whistle, bodhran), Mikko Livanainen (guitar and banjo) , Teho Majamäki (didgeridoo), Jon Burr (harmonica) and Dermot Crehan in the solo violin. A pity that I received only a digital copy without the 12-chapter book to follow the story. Nice piece of musical art.
