Having reviewed their latest studio album ‘Razorback Killers’, and rewarding that album with a good score,  I was curious how this live album would sound like.

My first remark is that new singer Brian Allen acquits himself very well of the job but is sometimes struggling with the really high notes in the older songs from the Carl Albert era.  I have no comments to make about the other musicians, it sounds very good.

What does bother me a bit though is that is seems as if the presence of the audience has been blown up a bit, by which I mean that Vicious Rumors isn’t performing in very big venues anymore, yet it seems as if there’s a massive audience present. There are nine own songs on the album, and two covers. One hideous cover from Black Sabbath’s ‘Sign Of The Southern Cross’, the less I tell you about the better, and one cover from Judas Priest’s ‘Running Wild’.  They’d better not have put these covers on the album, cause the original versions were so much better…
