The mastermind behind this band/project is Swedish guitarist Stefan Lindholmd who formerly played in the band Raven Lord.  Having released two previous Vindictiv albums, the 2008 ‘Vindictiv’ album and 2009’s follow up album ‘Ground Zero’, here we have the third opus.  And for this third album, it is no longer Goran Edman who does the vocals, but Marco Sandron (ex Eden’s Curse) has taken over the mike.

With the new vocalist, almost all traces of prog have been lost, instead they’ve moved on to power metal.  And It must be said that it has become quite an exceptional album.  The vocals are superb, but the guitar solo’s are amazing, mindblowing even.

What the album lacks though, if you ask me, is a real killer tune.  The songs are good, but don’t really linger in your mind.  Therefore I’m afraid in the mass of releases that overwhelms us, this album might go by unnoticed, which is a shame really because it’s a good, decent album.

85/100
