Crazygoji

The über-productive outfit with the ingeniously developed name Crazygoji, hailing from Illinois, US, did originally release Times New Romantic in early 2024; more specific, it did see the stroboscopic light on February 2nd in both self-release as well via New Zealand-based label Lilypad Records.

Nonfinite

Short review about one of the releases in an interesting ‘package’ by No Sides Records. It’s an effort by Madison-born Anthony Bradshaw Schmitt, released posthumously (this human being left earthly life way too soon; he was only 39 years old when he passed away in early Summer 2023) – yet let’s focus on the sonic content.

Móđir

This review does not deal with a new recording. It’s all about a physical re-release of an album from just a few minutes ago (ironic-looking smiley included); a release by an act that might be, for what it’s worth, one of my personal greatest surprises / experiences lately: the Brazilian, or is it Canadian, outfit Móđir, curated by Lady IO.

Nightmare Spirit

Very recently, I got in touch with David from the totally frenzy Illinois-based label No Sides Records. Once in a while, this label releases a bunch of things on tape or compact-disc, dwelling in spheres of Ambient, Electronics, Techno, Jazz, Impro, Avantgarde, Drone, Industrial, Classical, Chiptune, and much more. Sometimes things sound serious, then again it’s just hilarious or cynically-meant. But it works (most of the time)!

Móđir

Brazil-born damsel IO is one of the most productive / active human beings lately. She is, and I quote, ‘visual artist, scenographer, fashion designer and musician’. When talking about ‘musician’, she’s active under different pseudonyms or throughout serial recordings, such as IO, Dragonflies In The Garden, The Flower Book, Modor, Black Paintings, The Hunt Of The Unicorn, For Children: The Gates Of Paradise, Danse Macabre and who knows what else.
