Disorder

El Salvador is not the hugest country when it comes to Extreme Metal, but it houses some interesting bands for sure. One within quite an impressive list must be Disorder, band that was formed almost two and a half decades ago. The band was active, especially in their local scene (Latin America), and in 2002 they independently released their great debut Voces De La Tumba. Unfortunately, some members decided to form a new act (Dreamlore), so Disorder split up short after the release of their first full length.

Astarium

Astarium is the solo-outfit of Nikolay ‘SiN’ Sikeritsky, who also runs NitroAtmosfericum Records. I wrote several reviews in the past for Concreteweb about Astarium (as well as for NitroAtmosfericum Records), and as you can see (enter the band’s name in ‘search’ or go to ‘reviews sorted by artist’), I deeply like the refreshing approach of this act.

Moribundo

Moribundo are a young band from Spain, formed in 2014 by multi-instrumentalist Juanpa ‘Evilead’ Pérez (also known from bands like Elderdawn, Bizarre and Nangilima) and lyricist Justo ‘Mortvs Vyrr’ Arganda (who does not ‘sing’ himself).

Suffer Yourself

Last weekend I listened once again to Ectoplasm. Damn, it remains one of the best things within its genre. Then I realised that I did never write or publish a review on that album. Though, if I would have some end year’s list for 2016, this specific release would absolutely be part of my top-10 from that very same year. So, I was wondering: why not writing something about that album anyway?

Cryostasium

My wife sometimes pretends that there’s something wrong with me, mentally, because of my muSICKal choices. Then I beat her up when playing Abruptum out loud, but actually she might be right. You know, I have never hidden my appreciation for Cody Maillet and his Cryostasium outfit, so that might be a proof of my dear wife’s statement, I guess.

Pimeydentuoja

The moniker Pimeydentuoja reeks of Finnish stench, and indeed this is a band from the Land of a Thousand Lakes, and more specific from the Vaasa-region at the Bothnian Gulf. The band was formed at the very end of last decade, and in 2012 drummer Fördärv aka Krig V.A., bass player / guitarist Iva aka They Agony, and choirboy / lyricist Herr Razer aka Dödfödd came up with their first official demo, Black Goat Psalm.

Agonia Black Vomit

Agonia Black Vomit are dwelling around for about a decade. This duo, being Marco ‘Pesten’ Bomboi (also in e.g. Tundra) and Marco ‘Agonia’ Rosati (think Zedher / Zedher’s Coffin or Nailed God), created a first album, called Satanic Black Vomit, which was released in 2011 via Mexico’s Black Cult Records (hey guys, are you still around?).

Kashgar

My ‘knowledge’ of the scene from Kyrgyzstan is enormously limited. With exception of Shahid, Darkestrah (though I admit that I have not been following them anymore for more than a handful of years) and Panzer Bulldozer, I have no idea what’s going on out there, in the centre of Central Asia. And then, suddenly, Aleksey K. did send me an album by a band from the capital of Kyrgyzstan, Bishkek, called Kashgar.

Pure

Pure are a young project by one of Switzerland’s most notorious (Black) Metal musicians, Sergio ‘Ormenos Bornyhake’ Moplat. He’s best known as drummer, yet as well as multi-instrumentalist, currently or formerly active with the likes of Enoid, Borgne, Gerbophilia, Kawir, Cryfemal and many others.
