For almost two decades, Dark Fury bless our sacred homelands with their dark (aural) fury (that was an easy one to start with). It’s one of the projects with Lower Silesian Stronghold’s owner / runner Krzystof, a label that did surprise me enormously lately (click on the label’s name on top of this review to check out some other material kindly provided by them).
Since I think that Esoteric are one of the most unique Doom bands on Mater Terra, I was enormously pleased to notice that some of their older releases have been put on vinyl, though being in limited editions only. This goes, for example, for Subconscious Dissolution Into The Continuum (those titles… J - oops, did I put a smiley right here???).
Once again via long-time label The End Of Time Records, and this time in a co-operation with Old Temple, Deep Desolation deliver the successor of the extremely strong Rites Of Blasphemy-album (the review on that album was posted January 25th 2015, though it was initially released in 2012, shortly after their great debut Subliminal Visions).
This split release was one I did look forward to for quite some time. Main reason, of course, is the collaboration of two bands I do sort of adore. Besides, it is the first (and until now, the only) vinyl release on Belgian top-label Immortal Frost Productions.
Hautakammio are a Finnish band which includes Aki ‘Grim666’ Klemm, known from acts like Lathspell, Grimirg, Order Of The White Hand or Oath, amongst several others. It’s the same guy behind the Patologian Laboratorio studio, and the person who runs the Patologian Laboratorio Productions-label, which focuses on Aki's own projects especially. Look out for a couple of upcoming reviews from that label, coming up soon!
The Romanian Black Metal scene is one I do adore a lot. The Romanian Doom-Death Metal scene is one I do like a lot as well. The Romanian Gothic-oriented scene, however, is one I am not that trusted with. I only know a handful of bands that are worth mentioning, such as Dispersia, Gothic, The Season, Interitus Dei, Serenity and Kratos. So please welcome Whispering Woods, though apparently they did release an album before, Fairy Woods, in 2011 (self-released).
Patologian Laboratorio Productions are a ‘new’ (see note) label owned by Aki ‘Grim666’ Klemm in order to release material from his own projects and bands especially (+ some others). Note: actually there were some releases about a decade ago from Lathspell too, but then things turned into silence for ten long years – FYI…
Just like the magnificent debut album Epistemological Despondency and 2004’s Subconscious Dissolution Into The Continuum, Esoteric’s The Maniacal Vale (also reviewed in this section) gets released on vinyl by superior Doom-label Aesthetic Death. Eternal thanks and gratitude to label owner Stu for sending me this great material.
Ancient Moon are quite a mysterious project for the three members act under the names of J, O and B, and nothing more is known. Apparently these guys hail from Belgium, France and Switzerland. I think Vvltvre is their first mutual effort, and it consists of one single piece, called Preastigitum Altareas, clocking almost half an hour.

On April 24th 2015 we did upload the review for Deprive’s Into Oblivion, which undersigned did appreciate a lot. As a matter of fact, I am quite ‘fan’ of several things created by Erun; think: Hrizg, Briargh, CrystalMoors, Moonshine, Eldereon, Forestdome and many more. And as you could have guessed in the meantime, Stormstone too is a project by Javier ‘Erun-Dagoth’ Sixto, once again a solo-outfit.
