Shrapnel Storm

After a hand full of demonstrational releases, Finland’s ‘Old School Death Metal BulldozerShrapnel Storm finally come up with their debut album, peacefully called Mother War. The quintet joined forces with the German (Thrash) Metal label Witches Brew to have this stuff released. It consists of ten new and older ‘songs’, clocking thirty eight minutes in its totality.

Mother War brings nothing new / renewing at all. Damn, this sounds like a depressing introduction…

Chain of Dogs

Burning bridges in a world of death” is the combination of two EP4 and a demo of the Dutch band Chain of Dogs. Folk and Metal, as if slayer got into a fight with Flogging Molly the band info says….. A mediocre folkmetal band at best  I what I say….  I am sure this band will do well amidst their closed relatives and  drinking buddies (even if only for the Dutch dialect used on some of their songs) but on an international level  they simply fall short.

Seasons Of The Wolf

Anthology sort of means career overview, in the case of Florida”s  power metal band  “ SEASON’S OF THE WOLF“ it’s a rather a rerelease  of  two albums  only available on tape when originally released end of the eighties early nineties…   The  band info sheet that comes with this double cd,  mentions  that  SOTW  has influences from such  eighties class acts like  “METAL CHURCH” and “SAVATAGE”..
