I hadn’t heard of the Malaysian horde Blasphmachine before, but apparently this trio is pretty known in their home country and Singapore. With Exhumation, Savage Deity and Shambles, they released a live-split taken from a tour in both countries. Anyway, Blasphmachine did write and record a handful of tracks in their two-three years of existence, and two of them have now been compiled under the working title Oath. Originally it was self-released as untitled promotional stuff in late Summer 2014, and once again the intelligence (or is it ‘sweetness’?) of Cold Raw Records led to the CD-release of that material.

What can I say: this is ‘True’ Death Metal, fast and fierce, merciless and uncompromising, timeless, yet still focusing on universal tradition, whatever. Less than five minutes this stuff takes, so what can I say – but I am impressed once again, and I hope to hear more soon. If these two tracks, Heathen Fire and Malleus Malleficarum, are an omen to things to come, then I will shave my legs in order to avoid Goosebumps…
