Bloodlost are a Swiss Thrash-combo with two albums in their name: Hellcome (2008) and Trashell (2011). Now they return with the third studio recording, called Evil Origins, which was recorded, mixed and mastered at the French Full Metal Studio by Izakar (of Blazing War Machine-fame) and Sébastien Castan.

And let’s be honest: this is pretty cool stuff, energetic and fast-forward, but with a disappointing, almost insulting heard it before attitude. The whole experience reeks of Testament, Death Angel, Slayer and Exodus, based on very comparable riffs, very comparable vocals (even some ‘choirs’ are included), very comparable rhythms, very comparable compositions, and even a comparable sound. Add some hints of, for example, Kreator and Destruction, and that’s it…

I won’t say that this stuff sucks, because it does not. The songs aren’t that bad at all, and the performance is truly great. But I do miss about everything that would convince me…
