I seem to have missed these girls first album, the 2012 release ‘Outside Heaven’; these two French sisters are rejoicing the world of AOR fans with their second album ‘Jade Hearts’.  It’s a bit strange hearing these Frenchies bringing us easy listening AOR music.

Of course they were in no small ways helped by what you could call the crème de la crème of the AOR rock scène of the last – lets say twenty or thirty years.  I’ll give you a short list of who gave them a helping hand: Frédéric Slama, Tommy Denander, Paul Sabu, Göran Edman, Mikael Erlandsson, Bob Harris, Christian Tolle, not to mention different members of Alien, Hardline & Lionville.

Their music though, is not in the same vein as Heart, despite the fact that they are sisters.  Heart sporadically had a harder touch, before they became really commercial.  Notwithstanding this, the songs on this album are good, a bit mellow at times maybe, so my guess is they’d be ideal for playing on some of the more commercial US rock stations.  Good vocals though, and sporadically a good guitar solo as well.
