Lawless

This is the second album by British band Lawless, released 18 months after their debut album ‘Rock Savage’.  Just like their first album it has a sound that reminds you of the 80ies classic rock sound, which is no wonder, since most of the bandmembers have a history in music that goes back to those days.

Impera

Having reviewed other Impera albums in the past, I was surprised when I heard this album. It sounds a tad heavier than I’m used to with Impera.  This is their third album, and if you ask me their best so far.

Scar For Life

Line up :

Rob Mancini – Vocals

Alexandre Santos – Guitars

Teen Asty – Bass

Special guest : Vinnie Appice - Drums

The band revolves around founder and guitarist Alexandre Santos, who has worked with bevy of different musicians over the last six years or so. Worlds Entwined is the latest and features new vocalist Rob Mancini (Hotwire, Crush).

Saracen

If you were around in the 80ies, and were a fan of rock music, this band’s name might ring a bell.  They released their first album under the name Saracen in 1981.  There was a hiatus between 1984 and 2003, but in 2003 they again released a full length album.

Silent Voices

Silent Voices is a Finnish progressive metal band formed in 1995. Current members: Timo Kauppinen (guitar), Pasi Kauppinen (bass), Jukka-Pekka Koivisto (drums), Hendrik Klingenberg (keyboards) and Teemu Koskela (vocals).

Impera

It was only in 2012 that Impera released its debut album ‘Legacy Of Life’, and one year later they enjoy the rock world by releasing their second album ‘Pieces Of Eden’, which is equally, if not even more impressive than their debut album.

Chasing Violets

I seem to have missed these girls first album, the 2012 release ‘Outside Heaven’; these two French sisters are rejoicing the world of AOR fans with their second album ‘Jade Hearts’.  It’s a bit strange hearing these Frenchies bringing us easy listening AOR music.

Giuntini Project

I had never heard of Aldo Giuntini or for that matter of the Giuntini Project yet its seems he’s an Italian guitar Wizardand has released three prior Giuntini Project albums between 1993 and 2006.

Degreed

Degreed is a melodic/hard rock band from Stockholm with band members:

Rubin Ericsson: Bass/ Lead Vocals.

Mats Ericsson: Drums.

Micke Jansson: Keyboards.

Jesper Adefelt: Guitar/ Backing Vocals.

Daniel Johansson: Guitar/ Backing Vocals

After three years they are back with a great melodic rock album. A classic AOR album with a modern touch.

Divided Multitude

Already the fifth studio album for this Norwegian band, but I admit never before having heard of them, I guess the stream of bands/albums etc. is just getting too big to be able to follow them all.  I got a bit scared when I put this album on, and it started with some flamenco guitar and handclap, but that was just the intro.
