Human Fortress is a melodic power metal band from Germany. It all started in 1997 when guitarists Torsten Wolf and Volker Trost joined with bassist Pablo J. Tammen to form a band called Timezone. Shortly after recording a demo, the collaboration ended. Soon thereafter, the lineup was rounded out with singer Jioti Parcharidis, drummer Apostolos "Laki" Zaios, and keyboardist Dirk Marquardt, and called themselves Human Fortress.
Since then the band had it rather difficult to exists and have a steady line up as they already had 10 line up changes since then.
Anyway, next month they will release their latest creation entitled “Raided Land”. Witch is rather a typical album it this genre. Certainly not a bad one, but it’s hardly original. In the end, it doesn’t make me want to take a sword of the wall and swing it around. It lacks some faster passed songs t be honest, or at least some more variation.
