Something In Us Died, is the debut full-length album from France's hot post-rock/metal band Lodz. It is a fairly young collaboration of this Lyon based chaps as there is little to non info about them yet.
The album was recorded by Fabrice Boy at Hacienda Studios and mastered by Cult Of Luna's Magnus Lindberg. This is an album that is high in emotions but also extremely delicate. With a well thought of balance between soft and hard, melancholy and happy. Clearly these boys know how to impress (especially me). They didn’t re-invent the wheel or something, but they did a hell of a good job trying to do so. I have to admit that this is one of the rare few albums witch I could listen to from start till end, and again.
If you want to compare it, you should best listen to bands like Gojira, Katatonia, Ghost Brigade,…
