Putrefact are a Mexican death commando with current, former, live and session musicians from bands like Hacavitz, Disgorge, Morbosidad, Impiety, Raped God 666 etc. (i.e. bassist / vocalist Hugoreincarnation, and the Garcia-brothers Exxxecutioner and Necrodekapitator, resp. drummer and guitarist / vocalist). And considered the acts these guys were or are involved with, you can imagine that this new formation must be something soft and sweet. A year ago, the trio self-released a demo-tape / MCD called I Shall Die Upon This Putrefaction, and Of Those Who Were Deceased is the successor, which will be released in a very limited edition of 300 copies only (on black vinyl).

What this band brings is a morbid, hideous, sickened and occult interpretation of blood-soaked, bleak and black-edged Primal Death Metal. The nasty atmosphere of the Old School comes with a stench so lovely-putrefying; it’s almost possible to smell the sulphurous and decomposing grimness.

Besides, mind the difference in between opener We Are Deceased, which is rather fast and pseudo-grinding, and II, with its ominously slow tempo. The latter for sure is one of the best tracks I’ve heard in years when it comes to the Mexican (Death) Metal scene!

For fans of: Autopsy, Goatlord, Kaamos, Grave or Incantation.

More stuff please in 2014!
