The German quintet Sacrificium (vocalist Claudio Enzler, guitar players Wolfgang Nillies and Matthias Brandt, bass player Thorsten Brandt, and drummer Mario Henning) exists for about two decades in mean time. The band recorded a couple of albums throughout the past years, and toured Europe alongside bands like Dismember, HateSphere, Unleashed, Fleshcrawl, Eluveitie etc.
Brooklyn based Psychedelic Rock band Naam can call themselves lucky! Having formed in 2008 as a trio of John Preston Bundy (bass & vocals, but also piano and synthesizer), Ryan Lee Lugar (guitar & vocals, and also tambura) and Eli Pizzuto (drums), they soon struck a deal with New York based specialist label Tee Pee Records, and as a result saw their debut 3-track EP Kingdom released in April of 2009.
Almost a decade before one Steve Harris would start up what was to become one of the more successful Heavy Metal bands still around (somewhere in 1966 to be more precise, bassist Barry Skeels, singer Steve Drewett and guitarist Chris Rose (whom had that far been active in an acoustic band) witnessed a performance of Cream at their school hall in Basildon (Southern border of Sussex, some 50 km East from the center of London)!
