Artificum Nex

Despite almost eight years of existence, Epitaph For Life isn’t but the first full album, and their second official release. Once again kindly offered to the audience by mighty Russian top-label Satanath Records, this time in co-operation with Black Plague Records (from California), it saw the light at the very end of 2014.

Moonkult / Solus

Transmissions is a split-album by a Finnish and a Hungarian project. The album lasts for almost fifty minutes and gets released via mighty Russian Satanath Records, once again in co-operation with two other highly professional labels: Metallic Media and Black Plague Records.

Uluun

I wrote this review pretty recently, after I received this album from Cold Raw Records. This label did re-release the stuff on February 13th 2015. But for one reason or another, it gets re-issued as well in a collaboration in between two other excellent labels, Switzerland’s Asgard Hass Productions and Symbol Of Domination, a sub-division of Satanath Records.

Necroheresy

Slovakian outfit Necroheresy was formed in 2012 by former and current members of e.g. Karpathia, Aeon Winds, Krajiny Hmly, Silva Nigra or Concubia Nocte. To my knowledge, this is the band’s first official release, having a total running time of almost twenty minutes, for five tracks and an intro. The latter, also the title of the album, combines church balls and Gregorian chants with some background noise, and believe me: it sets the tone for quite some intense experience!

Abhoth

I honestly cannot sum up more than five bands from Montenegro, but this act, Abhoth, hails from that former Yugoslavian country. They were formed somewhere in the middle of last decade, initially meant to be a studio-only project (and I think it will stay that way).

Rage In Silence

The Russian act Rage In Silence finally releases its debut album via Symbol Of Domination Productions, a sub-division of mighty Satanath Records. It’s called Doomsday Butchery and lasts for about twenty five minutes, and believe me if I say that it will certainly please some of the sickest minds amongst you.

Poezd Rodina

Poezd Rodina (aka Поезд Родина) are a young project, formed in 2014 by a guy from Russia and one from Ukraine. Both of them, Andrey Tvorogov (instruments) and Evgeniy ‘Eugene’ (vocals) play together under the name Montes Insania too, another superb act on Satanath Records. There will be a review on Montes Insania too in a near future, by the way.

Ethir Anduin

Ethir Anduin (named after the delta of the Anduin-river in the Belfalas Bay; cf. Tolkien…) were formed in 2006, and the earliest years were characterised by a relative silence, at least when it comes to official releases. Sole member Alexei Veselov wrote several tracks, but none were released. As from 2010 however, Ethir Anduin did bring out lots of things, including several mini and full length albums. And now this project returns with the fifth album, I Magen Av Svart Kaos, which has a total running time of forty two minutes.

Abysmal Growls Of Despair

Abysmal Growls Of Despair are a French outfit by a guy called Hangsvart, who formed this project in 2013. Hangsvart is a rather active musician / composer, for Abysmal Growls Of Despair have recorded several pieces in mean time, despite the young age of existence. But who am I to criticise this… I will not!

Nyx

The Italian trio Nyx (A. Sathsiva, S. Flagellyon and G. Azelyoth) recorded this new album at the Sottomarino Giallo Rec Service studio during summer 2014, with mixing / mastering assistance of Luis Varo. The result, called Hairesis and, unfortunately, lasting for only half an hour (and some seconds, all right), gets released by two of my preferred East-European labels, i.e. Vacula Productions and Satanath Records.
