Spastic Burn Victim

Fuck You And Your Eyes was the first release on Skullhouse, one of the sub-labels of Legs Akimbo. This label focuses on Grind / Noise / Speedcore / Splatter beauty, and in the near future a couple of other reviews will pass… But first things first, and that’s this tape by UK-based act Spastic Burn Victim.

Battlestorm

Singapore-based act Battlestorm, with Nocturnized members (PS: soon I will come back to a split-LP which includes Nocturnized), were formed about a decade ago. After some demos and a split with Damned Eternal, the band released the full length Demonic Incursion via Japanese Deathrash Armageddon, which sort of was a (relative) break-through for the band on international scale.

Bokluk

Bokluk are a Spanish Death Metal formation, nowadays consisting of Alex (vocals), Corey (drums), Iago (bass, vocals) and Tukas (guitars, as well as recording, mix and mastering).

Todgeweiht

There are a couple of (German) bands with the moniker Todgeweiht, but this one deals with the duo from Thuringia, Grimwald and BluothArn. They started more than a decade ago, but didn’t release but two demos (one was even never officially distributed) as well as one full album. That album, called Pestilenz, was initially supposed to be part of a split with Winternight, nowadays known as Wintarnaht.

Grimwald

A while ago I did write a review for the split Saturnia Tellus… Memories From The Eternal Cult, a collaboration of three Italian acts, released on Ukrainian high-quality label Vacula Productions. In case you might be interested to read this highly professional review, check the site’s update on March 26th 2015. Amongst those bands: Grimwald, an act from the city of Turin that released one single full length in mean time, 2012’s Über Grimlands Düsteren Wäldern (independently released).

Nyx

The Italian trio Nyx (A. Sathsiva, S. Flagellyon and G. Azelyoth) recorded this new album at the Sottomarino Giallo Rec Service studio during summer 2014, with mixing / mastering assistance of Luis Varo. The result, called Hairesis and, unfortunately, lasting for only half an hour (and some seconds, all right), gets released by two of my preferred East-European labels, i.e. Vacula Productions and Satanath Records.

Deviator

Deviator are a project from Ukraine around Dmitry ‘Lord Hastner’ Kundelski. As from 2007, there were quite some releases (demos, some contributions to splits, some singles / EPs, and two full lengths; compilations and this specific album not included). A couple of months ago, I wrote a review for the compilation To Forgotten Path – Triumph Of The Will, published on October 11th 2014, released via Pesttanz Klangschmiede. But the last ‘real’ full length release dates from 2012, actually.

Ad Noctem Funeriis

Ad Noctem Funeriis (to my limited knowledge of the Latin language [sorry but I didn’t speak it anymore since about twenty centuries…] this moniker has been misspelled, but who cares about that) are an Italian act that contributed on a split with defunct Italian band Propaganda in 2008, and that released a first album in very early 2009 (…of Evil and Torment, via Salute Records). Then things went silent, but eventually the band entered the studio again in Winter 2014 in order to record their second full length album.

Svartfell

One of the outfits of Valhgarm (he also acts under the names Wargrinder or Arkarior in bands, formerly or currently, like Vermeth, Monarchia Daemonium or Hellraper, especially as drummer) is Svartfell, which he started in the beginning of this century.

Dgorath / Dark Ritual

The Black Metal oriented sub-label of Legs Akimbo, Locust Amber Records, focuses on tape-releases especially, and one of them is the split-tape Odyssey Of The Twelfth Talisman, not the cartoon, yet a recording done by London-based acts Dgorath and Dark Ritual. Both of them are quite young bands that recorded their material in 2014 and 2015.
