Svartidauði

Svartidauði (meaning ‘black death’) hail from Iceland, and some of you might surely remember 2012’s full length Flesh Cathedral, released via Norway’s Terratur Possessions. Shortly after that release, the band started writing on some new songs, and in 2014 they released two new tracks on tape, via the very same label.

Bestial Invasion

The name ‘bestial invasion’ is quite ‘legendary’, for there are tens of, especially Thrash-oriented bands all over Mater Terra, that are named after the legendary Destruction-demo (more than three decades of age in mean time; can you imagine???!). Now it’s the name of a new band as well from Ukraine, which was formed by former Crucifix / Violent Omen bass player Metal Priest.

Nihilistinen Barbaarisuus (1)

I never mind to write a review for older material, as long as it might need the attention it deserves. Pretty much the same goes for two releases I recently received from Infernal Kommando Records, dealing with the band Nihilistinen Barbaarisuus. This stuff is two years of age, but since 1) I did receive it quite recently and 2) it is of a superb quality…

Tunnels Of Āh

Tunnels Of Āh are a project by Stephen Burroughs. His name might ring some bells for he was one of the guys behind the legendary band Head Of David. Under the moniker Tunnels Of Āh, Stephen released a first album in 2013, also via mighty Cold Spring Records, and now this guy returns with the sophomore full length, called Thus Avici.

Primal

Primal are a one-man act from Poland, created in 2008 by PrimalOne, and pretty active in between 2010 and 2014. The End Of Time Records and Quid Est Veritas Productions did release some of the material, amongst which the truly fantastic Deathzone-album, Primal’s full length debut (for the review: see the update on September 21st 2014). Another ‘older’ release, done in collaboration by both bands, is Prophetae, initially released in August 2013.

Grimwald

A while ago I did write a review for the split Saturnia Tellus… Memories From The Eternal Cult, a collaboration of three Italian acts, released on Ukrainian high-quality label Vacula Productions. In case you might be interested to read this highly professional review, check the site’s update on March 26th 2015. Amongst those bands: Grimwald, an act from the city of Turin that released one single full length in mean time, 2012’s Über Grimlands Düsteren Wäldern (independently released).
