I do like Dunkelheit Produktionen a lot for two reasons: the very sympathetic guy behind the label (big hug to you, Bernd), and their great roster. The label has a lot of excellent Death and Black Metal signings, and since I am a ‘fan’, and so on…

Cryo Depth

I did start this review, for myself, tens of times before, and I did delete my introduction time after time. I wanted to focus on the destructive nature of ‘us’, the human kind, and as you might know, ‘we’, that ‘human kind’, is a disaster for Mater Terra in all its aspects. But then again, I didn’t feel like going into that matter too deeply this time.

Murmuur

Note before starting off: when I refer to Black Flame, it is not the (great) Italian Black Metal band I am referring to, but a one-man project, also from Italy, that unfortunately stopped its activities in Spring 2019. A pity…

(and oh yes, I have no cover art, so I’ve used the artist’s profile picture)

Catacombes

French musician Antoine Guibert aka Le Démoniaque surprised me enormously with 2017’s album Le Démoniaque, which got released via one of my mostly appreciated labels from France, Hass Weg Productions, under the flag of Catacombes (which is French for - and now you smart-ass will be surprised - ‘catacombs’ indeed!). So, it did somehow please me when R. from Hass Weg Productions did send me a successor to that debut full length album a while ago.

Temple Of Nihil

Okay, I have ‘sort of’ a jolly grin on my (pretty) face, some kind of smile, along with a grim, nasty look somehow. It might explain the duality of inner joy at the one hand and sadistic pleasure at the other. The pleasant emotions are simple to explain. After a hiatus of two years and a half, I started to get worried, frustrated, desperate, for Temple Of Nihil seemed to have faded away into eternal oblivion.

Iagon

I was not sure about how to start this review. I would focus on my appreciation for Dunkelheit Produktionen’s roster, since I am a ‘fan’ of Extreme Metal for, well, some decades. And then I would refer to the open-minded approach of this label for they do sign, and release, material from other (related) genres too.

Czarna Magia

About one year and some months ago, I had the pleasure to enjoy the official debut recording by Polish one-man army Czarna Magia. That EP, called Inwokacja Pierwotnej Mocy, was released via The End Of Time Records, a nice label from Polish soil that never disappointed me.
