Obscure Evil

Obscure Evil are a new collaboration of three young Peruvian Metal heads: bass player Suffering Soul of Sordid-fame, Naked Whipper (ex-Nexwomb / Witchfucker / Gorphyryac / Angelripper) on guitars and vocals, and former Purgatorio drummer Tzarathustra.

Hymnambulae

I recognize Pär Boström’s name from the (great) Cities Last Broadcast project (expect a review on The Humming Tapes, released via Simon Heath’s Cryo Chamber label, in a very near future). But apparently he and his twin sister, Åsa, have a mutual project going on as well, called Hymnambulae, as well as a new label, Hypnagoga Press.

Chasmbound

Chasmbound are a young New York-based one-man army, formed in 2014 by Jun and now debuting with Sourpop via Montréal-based Deathbound Records. This first album was produced by Jun and engineer Jaime Marcelo, and mastered at GAB Recordings with Garry Brents. It’s recorded with the assistance of two additional session vocalists (A. Toussi and R. Gill), and the whole album lasts for about half an hour.

Alexander Adams

I was quite surprised when I listened to this release, and this for a couple of reasons: the length and the label involved. Actually, the label, Lurker Bias, is a very young but highly productive label from the Chicago area. They are specialised in most kinds of Noise and Extreme Experimental Music in general (Jazz-influenced madness, for example), and especially when it comes to Noise Wall and Harsh Noise, this label must be a recommendation for this sick / sickened / sickening scene.

Tzelmoth

Tzelmoth are quite an ‘old’ formation from the Medellin region (Colombia), with two full lengths, some EP’s, and a hand full of split contributions (with e.g. Behalf Fiend, Black Angel Dagon, Black Abyss or Nox) on their roster.

Cryostasium

Hehe, I’m feeling quite lucky, for Cryostasium’s frontman Cody Maillet gave me the opportunity to listen to Projections Of Past, Present, And Future. It will be released in the future (a near future…), and this by -I’m sure- a smart label (nothing official yet, so let’s wait patiently), but I just felt like mentioning at least a couple of words on this newest Cryostasium recording – I guess it’s the 666th in mean time…

Beyond Sensory Experience

It seems like a farewell, this title: The End Of It All. For a part, that’s correct, since it’s the last chapter in another trilogy by Swedish duo Beyond Sensory Experience. They had a first trilogy during last decade, being done via defunct Cold Meat Industry, and there was a second one that was released via Old Europa Café.

Maldição

Brazilian trio Maldição are, to my knowledge, quite a young band, and there is not much I know about them. Pat from mighty Avitas or Kabexnuv (and Bud Metal Records) told me this stuff was too interesting to ignore, and he did refer to this release specifically (thanks pal for this opportunity!).

Phragments

Phragments, the main outfit of Slovakian artists Matej Gyárfáš and Nenad Branković, return with their fifth studio recording, after 2013’s New Kings And New Queens. That last one did slightly differ from the first recordings, for being less martial and orchestral in nature, yet rather Drone-oriented than before. And that indeed is sort of the direction this album goes on once again.

Humanitas Error Est

Humanitas Error Est, hailing from Leipzig, Germany, debut with Human Pathomorphism, an eleven-tracker that lasts for fifty-six minutes. The band, with former and current members of e.g. Rogash, Goatfuck and Grabak, was founded in 2013, and recently they signed to Satanath Records to have this debut released and distributed (once again in an unholy partnership with Abstruse Eerie Radiance and Black Plague Records).
