Outrage

Oh my goodness...Outrage really is one of those well-used names in the Metal world, with at least 14 other bands (3 each from the US and Canada, two each from Germany and Australia, and one each from Turkey, Japan, and Finland) than this Death Metal act calling (or having called) themselves so!

Mystic Prophecy

My introduction to this German US Power Metal-styled act came through the release (and subsequent review) of their 2009 album Fire Angel (review posted may 24 of same year). The “Archive” section of our website (where you would normally be able to find said review for your fact-finding needs) not currently being available, I have no idea whom of my colleagues “did” the band's previous album, 2011's Ravenslord or, if indeed we gt to do that album at all.

HateSphere

HateSphere dwell within a specific genre I do not like that much, but this Danish act has always been one of my absolute favourites within this modern Thrash-edged scene. The Napalm-release To The Nines from 2009, for example, was for sure one of my favourite Thrash albums that very same year.

Coronatus

Actually, I have never been that enthusiastic with any of Coronatus’ previous releases. And to be honest, I will not after this album either. With Recreatio Carminis, this German so-called ‘female fronted’ Gothic Metal act brings forty eight minutes of slightly pathetic orchestrations. It’s a collection of bombastic and symphonic Metal-injected Opera-Gothic songs with classical skilled voices, predictable riffs and rhythms, über-catchy melodies and poppy-approachable structures.

Wizard

This German heavy metal band was formed by four friends: Michael Maaß (guitar), Sören Van Heek (drums), V.Leson (bass) and Sven D’Anna (vocals). This line up is still standing to this day what is a rarity to be honest, so they are a true group of musicians and much more important, friends. They have to be, otherwise they wouldn’t be around here for 24 years.

Schwarzer Engel

Schwarzer Engel are the solo-outfit of Ger-man Dave Jason. Via Trisol Music, he released the debut Apokalypse in 2010, followed later that year by the EP Geister Und Dämonen (‘ghost and demons’), and a second full length, Träume Einer Nacht (‘dream of a night’), in 2011. In mean time, Schwarzer Engel (Dave works with a permanent live crew) hit the road in our countries with e.g.

Debauchery

In post-apocalyptic times the Blood God started this brutal death metal war machine called Debauchery. After 10 years of constant warfare (making music and touring), this themed band honed their skills and have gotten even more brutal and sinister. Yes this is a very special band, the controversy of the band has brought Debauchery time after time in contact with media, be it a story about the lesbian porn that the band promotes or articles about the loss of the teacher-job of the front man.

Agathodaimon

The roots of Agathodaimon are originated in Romania, and go back to half of the nineties. In the earliest years, this band performed a dark and slightly gothified form of Black Metal (Blacken The Angel …, Higher Art Of Rebellion), but they went into a catchier Dark Metal approach as from the beginning of this century. This evolution not quite continues with the newest full length, In Darkness, because this currently-in-Germany-residing act reinvents the most obscured elements from Old again.

DuskMachine

In 2004, the band formerly known as Deception [which was founded back in 1995, and in 2004 was composed of singer Hagen Hirschmann (also know from Desilence, Logar's Diary, Dawn and 7 Seals), guitarist Nikolai Wurk, bassist Peter Habura (see also Necros Christos), and drummer Randy Black (see also Primal Fear, Annihilator, Rebellion, Rooky)] changed its nam

Six Reasons To Kill

Melodic death metal / metalcore band Six Reasons to Kill, based in Germany recently released their fifth album “We are Ghosts”.

It is obvious that the band put a lot of time in constructing their songs and building this album. It contains an excellent arrangement of blast beats, breakdowns, tempo variations, melodic parts, lyrical elements and powerful riffs taking their hybrid of aggressive metal and modern hardcore to a higher level.
